Arhem revisited

 

I have the pleasure of presenting you with David Brasgalla's very first illustration for The Brimstone Sleep (Sv. Svavelvinter) – the first part of The Conflux Cronichles that Free League Publishing currently is producing as an official adventure suite for the TTRPG Dragonbane (Sv. Drakar och Demoner 23). Myself, I'm reediting the texts as well as adding new content. Maps by Francesca Baerald.

The above scene pictures the adventurers' arrival to Arhem, the subarctic colony of The Tracorian Empire, where precious sulphur is being harvested in the marshes by convicted criminals.

The Brimstone Sleep was first published in 1987. Below you can see the corresponding original art by Stefan Kayat. I subsequently published a series of novels based on The Conflux Chronicles, and include some material from them in the adventures.
